Be sure to look at my latest Auction paintings that I offered today.    You never know when I might put  more on the auction page so you might want to follow and see what else comes up and get a bargain.    Some new and some old will make appearances but always quality and originality.

As a child I watched as  some of my family members painted and I was right in the middle of it getting paint on my fingers and placing it on the nearest paper or maybe even a wall and sometimes on myself.   I learned as a child that it was fun and creative.   I have always been interested in painting.    Like most artists, I can't let a day go by without either working on something or thinking about how I will paint the next painting.  . Like my great granddaughter says,  "I have to paint"!    I do try my hand at all different kinds of art.  I have used, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, colored ink, yupo, papers, canvas,  collage and many other things to try each new idea.   I am always open to new ideas.   Keep looking at my posts and you will see some new ones in the next few days.      Thanks for looking.   Pat voelz

I live on a lake and this time of the year there is a lot of activity.   The primal urgers are very strong and the ducks, geese, and all of the creatures are choosing their life long mates.   I think the geese are very close to each other.  They do mate for life and seem to like to be huddled on the lake at nigth very closely together.  That probably is mostly for safety because in the winter when the lake is frozen, we have had a fox or other predator go out on the ice when the geese are sleeping and treat it like his favorite smorgasboard.   All that will be left the next day is a few feathers blowing in the wind and stuck in the snow or ice.   If one loses his/her partner they sit around for days at the spot and morn.   It is very sad but life goes on.  I don't know for sure if they find another mate.   I have many goose stories to tell.   You can buy this painting through Pay Pal.  Please look at my gallery for price and information.  Thanks you.   Pat Voelz

When I was a child I could not cross the chicken yard without a rooster coming after me and chasing me out of the pen.  I used to play hide and seek with them and try to fool them but they always saw me.   I was very afraid of the little Bantam Roosters as they were the meanest and the most aggressive.   In Texas where I lived, people sometimes had Rooster fights.   I do remember seeing one and I thought it was cruel but the roosters do fight for their lives.   I guess they just have that built in them to fight.    They still scare me but I love their colorful feathers!

SIPPING COLA is another of my girls that I love to paint.    The large hat is something that I have always dreamed of wearing.   I have a collection of hats but don't have one this large.   I do use them and my favorite is a Texas Cowgirl hat.    I even have some boots to go with it.  Since I grew up in Texas, I still like all the western wear clothes.   This painting makes me think of cooling off on a hot summer day after getting some much needed warmth from the sun.   Thank you for viewing.  Please contact me at for more information .

KISS MY RING is the title of this painting.   This Diva is getting ready for a big event in her life.   She is trying on jewelry and fixing her hair and makeup.   It was fun to paint this because I have three daughters and can picture them getting ready and looking to see if it will be the very right thing to wear.     "KISS MY RING" she says and pictures herself with a handsome prince kissing her hand.   Thank you for viewing and please look at my gallery or contact me at
